Random Slaughtermap Generator
A downloadable mod
Random Slaughtermap generator is a mod that generates a procedurally generated doom 2 map that ranges in difficulty from hard to slaughtermap difficulty.... It uses a prefab system based on a grid of tiles that get raised to form height variation, ceiling lowered to form lower ceilings, retextured, light level changed and then enemy/item/weapon spawned, all with random numbers to ensure a different level every time... Each room will be different looking every time you play a map with this and it will always produce a map of a certain difficulty...
To make a map, first load the mod, flip the right switch until you get the difficulty you want, flip the back switch as many times as you want to make a longer and longer level (each flip makes it last 120 seconds longer). Then flip the left switch to build the map.... Exit chambers rebuild the map and it also rebuilds on a timer...
For bots, make sure you build a map and then type "addbot slayer" in the console and then type "kill" in the console and then hit f12 to see bot gameplay...
The built in rsg.bat can load up to 5 .pk3/wad files as arguments by typing the following:
C:\doom2\rsg.bat <wad1> <wad2> <wad3> <wad4> <wad5> in a windows run box... this allows you to play the mod with gameplay mods that replace enemies and weapons.. It also works with texture replacers this way as well... I've tested it with a lot of gameplay mods that import enemies and guns from other games, and most work fine with it... A few mess up though so be careful (Unreal monsters for gzdoom is one)...
