Random Slaughtermap Generator is here!






This is something I whipped up in about 3 hours last night and tonight trying to improve my Algorithm for making procedural engine doom 2 maps... I put this together and now it is ready to play. Behold, Procedural hard/slaughtermaps with way more mean combat than any obaddon/obsidian map ever could have. This isn't a joke. This thing is made for hard combat first and plays ultra hard with enemy difficulty nerfed to counteract the huge hordes you fight all the time, and every map you enter is procedurally generated with different layouts and different heights of sectors and different wall textures... Outdoor areas and slopes for zdoom are in it and this actually plays really well with some game importing gameplay mods like serious doom 0.9
This is fun to play and the lack of bot support doesn't ruin it. Mean traps from zrdoom 5.0 are gone but the new algorithm setup is far better and makes new maps on the fly... Textures need to be aligned better but that is a minor issue as it only effects custom texture replacers now.
The gameplay is chaotic and mazy. The levels have claustrophobic lack of space and are hard to navigate like some wolf3d maps. This is brought back to bring back that vibe. The levels however have full sector height variation, slopes, and detailing... Outdoor areas are also present... This is a huge improvement... The lack of bots don't kill this thing at all... They AFAIK won't work with it at all... But that is a minor issue at best.
