ZRDoom 3.0 gets updated
A new version of Zrdoom 3.0 is out people. This version rebuilds the enemy code, fixes bugs, and adds omitted enemies back into the game. It's a major change.
The enemy code has been rebuilt to make it so that the enemies that spawn when the level gets rebuilt have a chance of appearing based on how hard the map should be. The harder, the more likely they'll show up. This makes it so that you get meaner traps the higher you play in difficulty condiguration terms.
3 missing enemies are back in the mod, Pain Elementals, Mancubi and Arachnotrons! They were missing due to them not fitting in a 64 grid square width... I thought they could get stuck.
A bugfix with the mancubi and Arachnotrons being unkillable has been fixed as well. Redownload this new version if you had the last version.
This mod is now ready to kick ass and prove to the world that unfair level gameplay is the wave of the future for Doom maps. This is no joke. In order to make the hardest .wad ever I had to cut out things that were taken for granted. First off was balance. To me, now, balance is optional. Hell, I consider it a detrement.
If you haven't checked out the trailer do so. It shows some mean traps the mod throws at you. Some are downright cruel, such as the cyberdemon in the pitch black room, and worse....
This will probably be the final build for mods that use this procedural level generation system I concocted....
