Zrdoom enhanced 3.0 is now finalized....




The latest version of Zrdoom enhanced 3.0 is now released... And it's a final version... This version is all I ever wanted this mod to acheive.... This thing has gone through the ringer lately, with me programming new features, a lot that didn't make it. Some look outdoor levels could have really helped this mod not be only ok.... But some features I programmed recently really help the mod.
New features:
-Randomized level starts
Now where you start each 'level' simulated procedurally, is randomized... It's not always in the first room now... It works with bots and teleports take the bot to somewhere else randomly as he leaves the first room, really randomizing the gameplay.
-better texture themes
Now texture themes are a lot more varied and have better flats... this is a huge change, as it looked kind of ugly before... using floor7_1 with a lot of walls that don't fit it like wood didn't make sense... This has been improved and occasionally you will see contrasted choices for floors and ceilings done by choosing a floor and ceiling theme a second time without choosing a wall.. This makes it so wood floors will sometimes be mixed in with other walls that don't fit it well.. It might look a bit ugly...
-Return of the mean traps from Fux0red.
Now the AI based traps that randomly change the layout of the maps to be mean to the player and place walls, sectors, lighting, differently on the fly are back. Now you need to be careful as that was missing in older versions of this mod.... It is now back and now the bot will be seriously screwed up sometimes...
-Better ceiling height variation
Now ceilings will have better height variation... This means a lot more misalignments but it makes the architecture look good...
The reshade setup with the later versions of this mod really help to make doom look really good... I think this beats Doom RTX for GFX now and I am not sure people agree, but I think the effects are really neat looking... They really help to make doom look sick looking.. This is the final mod I release here as well... I am done for modding.... I will be streaming my mod on my gamejolt at https://gamejolt.com/games/zrdoom3e/978898 a lot to show this off, so if you want to see playthroughs, I am currently the only one who can do them unfortunately.... So there you go.... That is an end to the itch page for now...
